Hello readers. It's been awhile since I've written one of these posts. For those of you who weren't around the last time I had to write one, they're my "Meta" posts. Whenever I make large changes to the website, I go over the changes that I made and why I made them in these posts. Rather meta of me (if you will.)
I recently redesigned the site for the third time in it's history, and so as a result it's garnered the title "v3.0 - The Fall Redesign."
Here are the changes:
- A new design, now with 83% more white space
I've redesigned the site in a more minimal manner. More white space, a cleaner logo, and subtly different fonts all add to what I hope will be a nicer looking and better viewing experience for you readers.
- A new layout designed for clarity
I've simplified the site's navigation and narrowed down the pages presented front and center. You can now reach the blog's Archive from the main navigation, along with my "Shots" portfolio and my VSCO Grid. Those are the three main facets of my creative work, and so having them all in one concise place is about as simple as it can get.
- Speaking of that Shots page...
I introduced the "Shots" gallery earlier this year showcasing what I believed to be the best of my photography. I hadn't updated the page since it's inception back in June though, and along with the design and layout updates I've gone ahead and updated the featured images in that gallery to be up to date as well. New you'll find the images from throughout my summer and early fall. Enjoy and peruse to your heart's content.
As always I want to take the time to thank everyone who reads this site, even if they just stumble upon it once. I write this blog for my own pleasure, but seeing that others read it makes the experience even more worthwhile, so I thank you all for that.
Here's to more great content.
