I've written several times over the past year about Baron Fig. A great little stationary startup based in New York - I had a section in my Analog Aspect piece about their Apprentice memo-books, I've featured some of their posts in my A-Players links, and most recently I've bought a Confidant notebook of theirs that I'm currently making my way through. They're a great little brand, with products I've come to love and an active presence online that makes it easy to interact with and get to know them.
Today is a big day for them.
Today they launched their next Kickstarter for a pen called the Squire that they've been working on for months. It's a roller-ball pen, which I don't currently use in my workflow and is a little concerning to me, but I trust that Baron Fig wouldn't produce a pen that didn't write well, and I'm hoping its among the best roller-balls have to offer. It also looks well designed, minimal, and like it would pair quite well with their Confidant notebooks - which is a plus of course.
I'll personally be ordering two of them in a couple of days the next time I get paid, and while I haven't written with one yet to endorse it fully I'll still ask that you go over to the Kickstarter page and check the project out. These guys have put their hearts into every one of their projects so far, and I doubt the Squire will differ from that.
