On today's Supreme Court ruling:

"The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 on Friday that it is legal for all Americans, no matter their gender or sexual orientation, to marry the people they love." - Huffington Post

I feel it's important to preface this with that I've been brought up in a Christian household, but I'm personally of the opinion that no one should be oppressed. No matter if I personally partake in their way of life or adhere to their beliefs. Some people brought up in the beliefs I was wouldn't voice that particular opinion, but I am.

I'm really glad that the Supreme Court ruled the way it did today. And I'm also really happy for many of my homosexual friends who must surely have had an even greater time today waking up to a rainbow-filled Twitter timeline than I did. I'm glad I'll get to look back years from now and tell about how I was alive when this decision went through.

History being made, and celebration-worth history at that.

Cheers, :)
