This past Monday Field Notes Brand announced their fall COLORS release - Lunacy.
The design centers around a lunar theme, and using special die-cut covers to show the changing of the moon phases.
It's certainly a different look from the average Field Notes cover, and I found myself liking that half-moon design immediately.
There's something about the symmetry & negative-space of the half-moon shape combined with the asymmetry of the entire book once that half is missing that intrigues my eye, and it feels minimal in a pleasant way.
And while it's not featured on Field Notes' website, my goodness is the debossed "dark side" of Lunacy a beautiful design detail.
More on these later, once I've had a chance to test them out proper - for now I'll just be here admiring how they look on my desk.
